On Approving Socio-Economic Development Strategy of Georgia - ‘Georgia 2020’ and Associated Activities
Article 1
1. The Socio-Economic Development Strategy of Georgia - ‘Georgia 2020’ (‘the Strategy’) shall be approved under Articles 5-6 of the Law of Georgia on Structure, Authority and Rule of Activity of the Government of Georgia.
2. Under Article 34(4) of the Budgetary Code of Georgia, Ministries of Georgia, Offices of State Ministers of Georgia and appropriate subordinate agencies of the Government of Georgia shall be tasked with producing medium term action plans before 30 June of each year according to the strategy approved by Article 1(1) of this Ordinance.
3. The Ministries of Georgia, Offices of State Ministers of Georgia and appropriate subordinate agencies of the Government of Georgia shall be tasked with:
a) bringing their policies/activities/reforms in line with the Strategy during the period of operation of the Strategy;
b) preparing annual reports on activities implemented within the Strategy framework and their results in parallel with the State Budget Execution Report; and submit this information to the Ministry of Finance of Georgia and the Administration of the Government of Georgia.
4. The Administration of the Government of Georgia shall be tasked with coordinating activities specified in the Ordinance.
5. Based on the application of the Administration of the Government of Georgia other institutions shall be requested to submit information and action plans under the second and third paragraphs of this article.
Article 2
In 2014, Ministries of Georgia, Offices of State Ministers of Georgia and appropriate subordinate agencies of the Government of Georgia shall develop medium term action plans before 1 August 2014 under the strategy approved by Article 1(1) of this Ordinance.
Article 3
The Ordinance shall enter into force upon promulgation.
