The LEPL Legislative Herald of Georgia joined the EFOG in 2023. The LEPL Legislative Herald of Georgia was represented at the forum by its Chairperson, Ms. Natia Chirikashvili.
Representatives from the official gazettes of the EU Member States, including Belgium, France, Germany, Poland, Portugal and others, participated in the forum.
During the meeting, the forum participants discussed modern challenges that the official gazettes are facing nowadays. Special attention was paid to the development of artificial intelligence and the risks accompanying its application in practice, including the reliability of personal data and the matters of confidentiality.
Field-specific workshops were also held within the framework of the forum, during which the representatives from the participating countries spoke in detail about the experience of their countries.
The EFOG has been operating since 2004 and it brings together official bodies from approximately 40 countries, both EU Member States and non-member states. The main goal of the forum is to deepen cooperation in the field of official gazettes, to develop sectoral competencies, and to exchange experience and innovative approaches among its members.
Active participation of the LEPL Legislative Herald of Georgia in the EFOG’s work is important, as it contributes to the strengthening of professional connections, the sharing of sectoral knowledge at the international level, and the introduction of practices that are in line with modern standards.
